These Hinge Lights tie into your JL's tail lights to mimic the operation of your Brake, Running and Reverse Lights. Being high mounted, along with super bright LEDs, these Hinge Lights will be sure to catch the attention of distracted drivers day or night.

Quality Construction. Manufactured from OEM grade materials, these Hinge Lights are assembled to precise standards for long lasting quality. These Hinge Lights feature durable black plastic housings with clear lenses. Employing red LEDs for use as brake and running lights, these Hinge Lights feature white LEDs for the reverse lights. Each Light is weather-sealed to prevent dirt and moisture from harming the state of the art electronics found inside.

Straight Forward Installation. These Axial Rear Window Glass Hinge LED Lights were designed to install in place of the factory hinge covers. These LED lights will require splicing into your Jeep's tail light wiring harness for operation, (4) Quick Splice Scotchlok Connectors are included.

Raxiom lights are great but I preferred to rewire individually to each tail light so they also work as turn signals

For them on, and all wired up in just over an hour.

However, I cut a wire, and now have the lights working on signal lights, park lights, and reverse lights.

Lots to unpack here:
1) figuring our which color wires control each function is different from drivers side / passenger side.
2) fishing wires thru hard top into tail light wiring chamber can be very tricky. My jeep has a plug holding all my very tightly wrapped tail light wires.
3) you'll want to also install separate connecters for each light for when you remove the hardtop.
4) all in all, cool lights yes, but the juice aint worth the squeeze. Directions were not helpful and every youtube video (1) did not touch on the hardest parts of the install.

Don’t get me wrong. This part doesn’t seem like the quality is impeccable but it’s pretty cool for what it is. I wish the wiring was easier to hide in the hard top but anyone halfway creative can make it work. The wiring *should* be straightforward but I recommend accessing the harness headed towards the right passenger side tail light. The orange/white is DRL, the violet/white is reverse. Good luck!
